My journey to becoming a social worker/trauma therapist began in 2013 when I took a position as a youth advocate for teenage moms in DCS custody. At that time, I was studying to go to law school and wanted to engage in humanitarian work overseas.
However, in working with my clients and their little ones, I realized that there was important work to be done right here.
In opening a therapy practice, my hope is to assist individuals and families in learning how to self-regulate, challenge anxious thoughts, increase day to day functioning and work through historical trauma.
When I'm not practicing therapy, you can find me in nature, spending time with my family/ dogs, or volunteering with organizations that promote inclusivity and human rights.
