Where Did SIGA Get it's Name?
The name Siga serves as a homage to my great uncle, Serafín Sanchez. Serafín Sánchez, was not only a celebrated Cuban war hero but also a source of immense family pride. His extraordinary bravery in the fight for Cuban independence from Spanish colonial rule endures as an inspiration. Even in his last moments, his resounding cry, "Siga la Marcha" ("Continue the March"), symbolizes his unwavering commitment to the cause of freedom and serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who sought sovereignty for their homeland.
